The line-up for the Canada Day 150 party was unveiled Thursday, with artists ranging from Alessia Cara to Gordon Lightfoot announced as performers during the three-day bash in the capital.
Heritage Minister Mélanie Joly made the announcement at the Sir John A. Macdonald Building on Wellington Street.
From June 30 to July 2, activities and performances will take place at Parliament Hill, the Canadian Museum of History and Major’s Hill Park, Joly said.
Here is the list of artists slotted to perform that long weekend:
Playing at Parliament Hill: Alessia Cara, Walk Off The Earth, Cirque du Soleil, Louis-Jean Cormier, Marie-Mai, Dean Brody, Serena Ryder, Kelly Bado, Kinnie Starr, Lisa LeBlanc, Gordon Lightfoot, Mike Tompkins, Patrick Watson and Laurence Nerbonne and Buffy Sainte-Marie.
At Major’s Hill Park: Raine Maida, Chantal Kreviazuk, Mother Mother, Laurence Nerbonne and David R. Maracle.
At the Canadian Museum of History: The Lost Fingers and The Souljazz Orchestra.
