Ottawa paramedics say a man is dead after a head-on collision between an SUV and a transport truck Sunday on Snake Island Road, in the southern outskirts of the city.
Paramedics said they were called to the crash, west of Grey’s Creek Road, shortly after 7:30 p.m. The 60-year-old had been ejected from his SUV. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 31-year-old man driving the transport truck was in stable condition and transported to hospital with chest injuries, paramedics said.
