A community station is hosting a telethon Saturday to raise money for flood victims in Clarence-Rockland.
The telethon will run from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday on station TVC22.
The small community about 40 kilometres east of Ottawa declared a state of emergency at the height of this spring’s flooding.
The broadcast will take place from the Optimist Performance Hall in Rockland and will feature entertainment and local celebrity hosts, with all proceeds going to flood victims from the local community.
Viewers will be invited to call in a donation during the telethon on TVC22, Videotron channel 9, or on Facebook.
