A section of Main Street, from Clegg Street to Riverdale Avenue, will be temporarily closed to traffic this Saturday to complete resurfacing work on a narrow section of the road. The closure will be in place on Saturday, June 10 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. As part of this road closure, the intersection at Riverdale Avenue will also be closed to traffic from 6 to 10 a.m.
While Main Street is closed, OC Transpo buses will be detoured via Clegg Street, Marlowe Crescent, and Elliot Avenue. During the morning closure of the intersection at Main Street and Riverdale Avenue, buses will be detoured via Glenview Avenue and Toronto Street. On-street parking will be restricted on detour routes.
In addition, Main Street will be closed to traffic the following Saturday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., between Hazel Street and Clegg Street, for a community event marking the completion of the Main Street renewal project.
