Environment Canada has issued a tornado watch at 10:36 a.m. Sunday for
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes.
Numerous thunderstorms are expected to affect much of central and eastern Ontario this afternoon and early evening.
Damaging wind gusts, hail, and torrential downpours giving rainfall totals in excess of 50 mm are possible. There is also a threat of a few tornadoes.
