The City of Ottawa will honour 16 OC Transpo employees who went above and beyond the call of duty in 2016 at the 27th annual Transecure Awards ceremony. The 2016 Transecure Employee of the Year will be announced at the ceremony that recognizes the quick actions and compassion demonstrated by employees who helped prevent serious incidents from occurring and made a positive impact on the Ottawa community.
Date: Tuesday, June 20, 2017
Time: 1 to 2:30 p.m.
2016 Transecure Employee of the Year to be announced at approximately 2:10 p.m.
Location: Richcraft Theatre, Shenkman Arts Centre, 245 Centrum Boulevard
The ceremony will include presentations from Mayor Jim Watson, Councillor Stephen Blais, Chair of the Transit Commission, John Manconi, General Manager of Transportation Services, and Co-Chairs of the Transecure Committee Troy Charter, Director of Transit Operations, and Richard Potvin, Vice-President, ATU Local 279.
