The Royal Canadian Air Force has turned to Facebook to ask Canadians which of its aircraft fleet should perform the flyby over Parliament Hill on Canada Day.

The Facebook poll, posted late Monday, offers more than 20 aircraft for aeronautics fans to chose from, including several helicopters.

Airplanes range from a massive CC-177 Globemaster to the more familiar CF-18 Hornet fighter.

But, it also includes options like a Grob G 120A two-seater aircraft.

The RCAF helicopters are also shown on an accompanying graphic, including the massive Chinook aircraft and the more compact Griffin models.

As well, the workhorse Hercules aircraft are possible nominations.

As of Tuesday morning, the site showed about 1,000 responses to the poll.
