A woman was killed Wednesday morning when the van she was driving collided with a car on Highway 401 east of the Moulinette Road exit at Long Sault, west of Cornwall.
Police say the collision occurred at about 7 a.m. when the two westbound vehicles collided, causing the van to roll over and sending the car into the median.
A man riding in the van was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The male driver of the car sustained only minor injuries.
Names were withheld pending notification of next of kin.
A section of westbound Highway 401 between Brookdale Avenue and Moulinette Road is closed to traffic with detour routes marked.
