Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau will be on the big stage at WE Day on Parliament Hill Sunday before tens of thousands of teenagers and their families.
Other acts or presenters for the one-day rally include Trudeau’s mother, Margaret Trudeau, as well as the Barenaked Ladies, Marc Dupré, Nelly Furtado, Hedley, Tom Jackson, Governor General David Johnston, Alex Nevsky, Lilly Singh, Les Trois Accords and more.
Founded by brothers Craig and Marc Kielburger, the WE charity provides a holistic development model called WE Villages, helping to lift more than one million people out of poverty in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
WE Day organizers also promise a mystery guest Sunday evening: “This extraordinary Canadian musical and cultural icon will take to the WE Day stage for an emotional and unforgettable moment.”
