After two waterlogged days, the sun has made an appearance for the final day of the long weekend.
Environment Canada is calling for a mix of sun and cloud for Monday, with a high of 24 C and a UV of 8. That means there is a high risk of getting a sunburn, in case you’ve forgotten.
Winds will be from the northwest at 20 km/h, gusting to 40. Expect Monday night to be partly cloudy with a low of around 12 C.
There remains 30 per cent chance of showers Monday night, so it will be a while if we know if this is to be the first day without rain in Ottawa since June 19, a 13-day run of rainfall.
And it just gets better. Tuesday’s forecast calls for mainly sunny, high of 28 and on Wednesday even that caveat is taken away: Sunny, high of 28.
