Too bad this is a record no one wants to beat – Ottawa’s had 23 days this year with more than 10? of rain, smashing the record of 17 days for July 12th, tweeted weather-historian Rolf Campbell.
How do you celebrate that? A new umbrella?
You’ll need one Thursday with showers lingering through the morning then clouds. The high is a forecast 22 C and the low 12 C.
For Friday, expect a mix of sun and cloud, a 30 per cent chance of afternoon or nighttime showers and a high of 21 C that will feel more like 27 with the humidity then dip down to 15 C.
Saturday looks downright dazzling to eyes that have adapted to the gloom: sunny and 28 C with a low of 18 C.

The risk of rain is right back at it Sunday with clouds, a 30 per cent chance of showers that increases to 60 per cent by evening and a high of 26 C and low of 18 C.
Monday is expected to be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers, a high of 27 C and a low of 18 C.
Tuesday’s forecast is for sunshine and 29 C. Wednesday is expected to be cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of 26 C.
