Woman, 45, in stable condition after being struck by vehicle

A 45-year-old woman was transported to hospital in stable condition after being struck by a vehicle near the Corktown Bridge on Colonel By Drive on Thursday evening, an Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesman said.

The pedestrian was being assessed for possible injuries to the head, knee, elbow and rib areas. She was taken to the trauma centre at the Civic campus of The Ottawa Hospital, the spokesman added.
