What’s Happening Ottawa provides the latest on theatre, music and outings for the entire family. Some shows sell out quickly, so be sure to look ahead at what’s happening in the coming weeks and get your tickets early. Here is a list of some of the things happening at City facilities this week.

Remember there are great programs at City museums, at recreation centres and free activities at City Hall all summer long.

Produced in partnership with the Cultural Education Centre at Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation, the exhibit presents pre-contact and historical archaeology related to Ottawa including artefacts uncovered and preserved during the LeBreton Flats redevelopment project

Mix and measure your way through a heritage cooking lesson. With a new theme each week and a tasty treat to take home, kids will love learning where ingredients came from and how they made their way from the farm to their tummies.

Each week we will explore a different topic and parents are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the grounds following the program.

Every Saturday, join museum staff as they complete different culinary tasks each week, from maintaining the garden to testing recipes in the stone kitchen. Programming varies each week. Weather and crops permitting, produce and baked goods will be available for purchase.
