Ottawa firefighters were working to remove seven people from a boat stuck on the Deschênes Rapids near the Britannia Yacht Club.
Firefighters were notified by Gatineau fire and 911 callers about the boat at 4:43 p.m. on Wednesday.
Platoon Chief Dean Taylor said two Ottawa fire water rescue units were trying to remove the people from the vessel.
Gatineau fire’s water rescue team was also at the scene.
According to a press release, the boaters were not distressed and there were no injuries.
