It’s a hot and sticky Friday with showers taking us into what may be a downright wet weekend.

For Friday, Environment Canada is predicting a mix of sun and cloud with a 60-per-cent chance of showers and the risk of a thunderstorm while the mercury climbs to a muggy 30 C.

Showers begin Friday evening with the risk of thunderstorms and a low of 17 C.

Saturday’s forecast is mainly cloudy with a 60-per-cent chance of showers and high of 22 C. There’s a 30-per-cent chance of showers Saturday night with a low of just 10 C.

Sunday is expected to be blessedly dry with a mix of sun and cloud and high of 23 C in the forecast and low of 12 C.

There’s a 60-per-cent chance of showers day and night for the civic holiday Monday with a high of 24 C and an unseasonable low of just 10 C when a normal low for early August is 16 C.

Tuesday’s forecast is a mix of sun and cloud with 40-per-cent chance of showers and a high of 26 C.

Wednesday is, so far, looking good with a promised mix of sun and cloud and 25 C.
