Crews knocked down a fire that’s believed to have begun in the basement of an Orléans home Monday night.
They were called to 1466 Belcourt Blvd. at 9:41 p.m.
A 911 caller reported visible smoke.

Within minutes, they declared a working fire. It was under control at 10:41 p.m. and damage halted by 11 p.m.
The cause has yet to be determined.
A fire investigator is assessing the damage.
