Ottawa police are hunting for a woman suspected of committing human trafficking offences.
On Tuesday police said they obtained an arrest warrant for Marina Javier, 33.
Javier is known to recruit underage woman, including some from group homes, police said.
Investigators with the police’s human trafficking unit said there may be multiple victims.
Javier is described by police as Caucasian, 5’2″, and about 180 lbs. She has short, curly dyed salt & pepper hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call the human trafficking unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5005. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or by downloading the Ottawa police app.
