Ottawa police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man seen near the scene of a suspicious fire on Granville Street on Tuesday.
According to the police’s arson unit, the man was seen peddling away from the scene around 1:20 a.m. He was seen on Granville Street, between Montfort and Shakespeare streets.
Investigators would like to talk with the man, although specific details about his appearance or clothing are not available.
Police ask anyone with information regarding the fire to call 613-236-1222, ext. 3770. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
