Two Ottawa men were collared after what the OPP describes as a high-risk takedown of a suspect on Hwy. 7 in Tweed.
Central Hastings OPP reports that officers were asked Saturday to help the Ottawa Police Service nab a man suspected of uttering threats to cause harm and possessing a restricted weapon.
Just after noon, they spotted the suspect driving on Hwy. 7 in the municipality about 200 km southwest of Ottawa and arrested two men.
Glenn Brown, 44, and Ryan Johnston, 35, are jointly charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking along with possession of methamphetamine, prescription drugs and less than 30 g of marijuana.
Brown was handed over to Ottawa Police investigators.
Both men are scheduled to appear in court in Belleville Sept. 7.
