Please remember we are just the messengers.
We did not ask for this continuing wet outlook, the 60-per-cent chance of rain later Saturday, the chance (again) of thunderstorms, the wind, the high of 23 C with humidity levels expected to make it feel like 30.
But wait! There’s a strong chance of sun breaking out on Sunday! More on that in a bit.
In case you were interested, Ottawa has set a record for the “thunderstormiest” year on record, accord to local weather historian @YOW_Weather.

In fact, the threat of more thunderstorms Saturday prompted the Ottawa Riverkeepers group to cancel its fundraising Ottawa River swim.
“Your safety is our top priority, and the forecasted weather conditions would have put you all at risk,” the group said in a news release.
“With nearly 250 people in the water and at times far from shore, we simply cannot take that chance.”
Riverkeepers noted that participants were told at registration that the event was non-refundable.
Saturday night looks like continued cloud, with continued high chance of showers and risk of a thunderstorm. The low is expected to be about 14 C.
Now the good news!
Forecasters are expecting skies to clear towards Sunday morning and the outlook is for a mainly sunny day with a high of 25 C, and moderate humidity.
(You may want to read the previous paragraph again …)
OK, clouds may be returning Sunday night and low should slide to 13 C.
The early part of next week looks to be a mix of sun and cloud for Monday and Tuesday, with highs of 27 C and 28 C, respectively.
Wednesday is looking sunny all day, with a high of 26 C, and a low of 14 C.
