Paramedics rushed a man to the local trauma centre in critical condition Sunday morning after a crash in the eastbound lanes of Highway 417 near Innes Road.
The man suffered life-threatening head injuries in the crash at about 9:45 a.m. A passing motorist tweeted a picture of the bike in flames.
The OPP report that Highway 417 eastbound is closed at Highway 174 along with the ramp from the Aviation Parkway to the eastbound Highway 417.
UPDATE: Road Closure: #Hwy417 EB remains CLOSED at Hwy174 #Ottawa. Ramp from Aviation Pkwy to Hwy417 EB remains closed as well. ^lp
