Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 36-year-old man with first degree murder after a man was found dead at a home in Tweed, southwest of Ottawa, on Saturday.
Samuel Koch from Tweed has been charged with first degree murder in the death of Dartt McPherson, 53, another Tweed resident.
On Saturday at 7:45 a.m., Central Hastings OPP officers were called to Kinlin Road, just northeast of the village, where they discovered the victim’s body.
They arrested the suspect the same day.
Koch is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Sept. 7.
The investigation is continuing.
