Upcoming road work projects will have the following impacts on Ottawa traffic:

  • Highway 417 – Bridge inspections along Highway 417 will result in lane reductions, in both directions, between Clyde Avenue and Bronson Avenue and between Percy Street and St. Laurent Boulevard on Saturday and Sunday between 6 and 10 a.m.
  • Fisher Avenue – As part of ongoing sewer and stormwater work along Prince of Wales Drive the intersection at Fisher Avenue and Deer Park Road/Dynes Road will be closed beginning today at 7 p.m. through to Monday, August 28 at 6 a.m. OC Transpo bus route 86 will be detoured during the planned intersection closure. Check octranspo.com to find out where you can catch your bus during the detour.
Deer Park Road, between Fisher Avenue and Forest Park Avenue, will also be closed to motorists and cyclists from Monday, August 28 to Friday, September 22.
  • Hall Road Bridge – Hall Road, between Thunder Road and Mitch Owens Road, will be closed beginning Monday, August 28 until early October for stormwater reconstruction. Signed detours will be in place.
  • Kinburn Side Road – Kinburn Side Road will be closed between Donald B. Munro Drive and Loggers Way, for road reconstruction work beginning Monday, August 28 until Friday, September 29.

Significant traffic and transit impacts resulting from special events, including Capital Pride celebrations and Canada’s Table, may also cause delays in travel. Residents and visitors should visit the City’s website for more information to plan routes to attend these events or to avoid impacted areas. Transit is the best way to travel to special events. OC Transpo’s Travel Planner can help you find the best route to your destination.
