A Prescott teen is dead after he was struck by a car on Highway 416 in Edwardsburgh Township, about 80 kilometres south of Ottawa, on Monday night.
Grenville County OPP said that the 18-year-old was near mile marker 13 when he was struck by a southbound vehicle around 11:15 p.m.
The southbound highway was closed between County Road 20 and the Spencerville exit until about 5 a.m. as the force’s technical traffic collision unit investigated the scene.
In June, a 23-year-old Brockville woman also died when she was struck by a car on Highway 416 near mile marker six.
