A search for 78-year-old Gary Foster came to a conclusion on Tuesday when the Canine Unit of the OPP found a dead male in a wooded area near Curran in the Alfred-Plantagenet township.
Foster had been missing since August 15 and was last seen leaving his residence on Concession 9 in Alfred-Plantagenet Township. He was picked up by a driver in a beige pickup truck with a glass-fibre cap on the box, and dropped off in the Village of Curran.
Later that day, around 4:30 p.m., Foster was seen walking westbound on County Road 2, around two kilometres west of Curran.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of death, said a media release.
