The long weekend started off promising with clear skies and a warming trend Saturday, but the forecasters warn things are looking chilly and damp over the next three days.

Saturday is looking clear through the daylight hours, reaching a high of about 20 C, under a UV index of 7 or high.

But things are expected to cloud over Saturday night, leading to periods of rain before morning.

The low is expected to tumble to 10 C.

Sunday looks miserable, frankly: Rain and more rain with a high of only 14 C.

The precipitation is expected to pull back Sunday night, to occasional showers and a low of 12.

Monday looks mixed so far, with a 40-per-cent chance of showers in the outlook and a high of 21 C.

Monday night should be cloudy with a 60-per-cent chance of rain and windy conditions. The low is expected to be 17 C.

Back-to-work Tuesday< for most folks, looks like more clouds and a 40-per-cent chance of showers. a high of 22 C, while Tuesday night is expected to see a 30-per-cent chance of showers, with temps falling to 12 C.
