Ottawa police have arrested a man they say threatened two Carleton University special constables early Sunday morning.
Police said a man wearing a face mask brandished what might or might not have been a gun. A suspect was charged with assault using a “weapon or imitation”, suggesting the gun might have been a toy.
One of the constables suffered minor injuries during a scuffle .
Police would not release the suspect’s name on Monday but did say the weapon or imitation was recovered in Brewer Park, adjacent to the university campus.
