<HTML>Since I haven't got your email address, I assume you don't mind my following ups here.
OK, this is what I get in a couple of smoke breaks.
I spoke with two lawyers, say B and N. Firstly, both of them told me there was no reason that the school you applied would refuse to take those supposed to be confidential and sealed materials. 9.11 event affects every ordianry person's everyday life, this is a case.
OK, maybe the Canadians are too single minded. And about suing, they have different opinions.
B thought this was no case, just purely waste the money. As simple as that. By the way, I was told same case, different lawyers could charge totally differently, basically they charge by hours and the rate is dependent on how long they've been in the business. B is one of those filthy rich guys I was told, his rate is over 300$/hour.
N thought this was a GOOD case if the school refused to accept those materials, and you could win. Then when I am writitng this message now, I can't remember she told me you could win whom, School or Canadian Custom. (She must be from Nova Scotia).
Anyhow, this is what I get right now. Maybe useful or maybe crap.
My suggestion, keep all the written correspondings with DHL and school, e.g. emails, faxes...it may be useful. Ask them to write you for everything, no verbal stuff. Another point, your goal is to let a if not the school to accept you, suing someone may make you feel better but a) would not help you go to the schoolb) too time consuming. </HTML>
