Police in Gatineau have asked for public assistance in finding an 82-year-old man who was reported missing on Tuesday afternoon.
Eugene Laurin was last seen at 1:45 p.m. near the Wal-Mart store at 640 Maloney Blvd. West, police said.
Laurin has Alzheimer’s disease and his medical condition necessitated that he be found quickly, a police media release added.
At the time of his disappearance, police said, Laurin was wearing beige pants, a yellow shirt and glasses. He stands five feet eight inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, has white hair and speaks French.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to dial 911.
