Ottawa professor Chris Fennell competed on Jeopardy! Tuesday night. Fennell is a psychology professor at the University of Ottawa, who researches how babies perceive language and bilingualism in the infancy period.
While he started the trivia game show strong, answering the first question correctly, he fell back to third place for the majority of the game and finished as such.
Fennell isn’t the first Ottawa local to land a spot on the Jeopardy! stage.
In March 2017, Grant McSheffery won three times, earning about $70,000 US.
In September 2016, Ryan Mill, a public servant played, and lost.
And for a brief stint, Canadians were barred from participating.
