A 70-year-old Montreal woman was killed in a two car collision of Highway 401 near Belleville Wednesday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Irene Savdie-Buenavida. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred shortly after 3 p.m. when a sedan and SUV collided on the highway west of Wallbridge-Loyalist Road in Quinte West.
The driver and front passenger of the sedan were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV was uninjured.
Highway 401 westbound was closed for six hours for the investigation.
Anyone with information on the crash is asked to Napanee OPP at 613-354-3369.
