I heard immigration canada will ask new immigrants to pick up the card personally after October instead of mailing the card to the new landed person like before.
Basically, the effect is that the new guy has to wait for 12 weeks (roughly) before leaving Canada.
I want to know whether this is true or a pure rumor cos I could not get information from CIC website and the call center is the worst in the world, which you will never get through.
