Daniel Street South in Arnprior was closed in both directions Monday afternoon while police investigated a serious head on collision.
The crash occurred just before 4 p.m. just east of the intersection with Edey Street.
Gary Patel, owner of the nearby Arnprior Motor Inn, said the collision involved a white pickup truck and car.
Patel was outside at the time and didn’t witness the collision, but he said the truck had been pursued by police and was travelling at high speed at the time of the crash. Photos from the scene showed a white car slewed across the westbound lanes, with a shroud draped over top it.
The Ontario Provincial Police said Daniel Street was closed between Edey Street and William Street until further notice.
