The city’s traffic centre is warning commuters to avoid the westbound Highway 174 at Blair Road as emergency services tackled a fiery crash involving half-a-dozen vehicles.
A vehicle and a motorcycle were on fire and one person was taken to hospital with serious injuries in the crash, which happened just before 6:30 a.m.
Paramedics reported that a 47-year-old man whose motorcycle was involved in the crash suffered severe second- and third-degree burns and was in critical condition. Medics gave him pain medication and tended to his wounds.
The westbound 174 was first reduced to one lane but by about 7:15 a.m. was closed with police are directing vehicles, the city’s traffic centre warned.

Majority of #OCtranspo buses appear to be taking Ogilvie to St. Laurent. But it's unclear as a user what's happening. #OttTraffic

If you're leaving Orléans WB on the 174 thinking it doesn't look so bad, it is at a standstill after Montréal Rd
