A raid aimed at taking down a drug ring has led to three arrests and the seizure of “considerable” amounts of narcotics, Gatineau police report.
That includes more than a kilogram of ecstasy, more than 8,000 methamphetamine tablets and 28 kg of pot.
The raid happened at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 334 Montée Paiment near Rue Graveline after an investigation lasting several weeks, police said.
Two men aged 26 and 35 and a 29-year-old woman, residents of Gatineau and Quebec City, are in custody on drug trafficking charges.
They appeared in court Thursday.
Also seized were 262 g of cocaine, 842 grams of hashish, 348 ml of cannabis oil, 100 g of concentrated THC known as “shatter” or “wax,” various other cannabis products and 109 tablets of the erectile dysfunction drug, Cialis. Also seized were $1,200 in cash, multiple cellphones and debt lists.
