Is thunderstormiest a word?

It should be because if Ottawa gets one more thunderstorm – and there’s a risk of it Wednesday afternoon and early evening – we’ll tie the record for the most in any year since records began 1953.

Environment Canada predicts that Wednesday will be mainly cloudy with showers beginning near noon, southwest winds at 20 km/h gusting to 40 and a high of 25 C that will feel more like 30 with the humidity.

It’s expected to clear up by late evening and dip to 9 C.

Thursday is a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 18 C and low of 10 C.

Friday again features mixed skies with a high of 17 C and low of 5 C.

For Saturday, expect clouds with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of 21 C and low more like typical daytime highs this time of year at 17 C.

Sunday’s forecast is for a mix of sun and cloud, a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 21 C dipping to 12 C.

Mixed skies and a 30 per cent chance of showers linger for Monday and Tuesday with forecast highs of 20 C and 19 C respectively.

A mix of sun and cloud with 30 percent chance of showers. High 19.
