Residents whose properties were impacted by flooding along the Ottawa River in May are invited to attend one of two information meetings about the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians Program.

Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians is designed to provide financial assistance in the aftermath of a natural disaster that causes costly, widespread damage to eligible private property. Residents who attend an information session are encouraged to bring their application forms with them.

There will be one meeting held in Cumberland Ward and another held in West Carleton/March Ward. Each meeting will include an afternoon information session and an evening session in order to accommodate residents’ schedules. Representatives of Ontario’s Ministry of Municipal Affairs will be accompanied by City staff to provide a presentation and answer questions.
