It was just before lunchtime on Wednesday when a Gatineau police officer noticed a familiar car — familiar because the officer herself had taken the report when it was allegedly stolen a few days earlier.
The red Ford Escape was parked outside a massage studio next door to a tattoo shop on St. Joseph Boulevard near Boulevard des Allumettières.
There were three young men in the Escape. The officer arrested all three on the spot, and arrested a teenage girl after some further investigation.
The three men, aged 18 to 19, were to appear in the Court of Quebec Thursday on charges of stealing the car and possession of burglary tools. The 17-year-old girl will appear in court at a later date.
