As many as six OC Transpo bus shelters were smashed along Lorry Greenberg Drive in Greenboro in the city’s south end on Tuesday night sparking an investigation by OC Transpo special constables.
According to Jim Babe, chief special constable with OC Transpo, an investigation into the vandalism was ongoing and no suspects had yet been identified. However, he confirmed that several glass bus shelters located along the busy roadway had been smashed.
Those shelters would be rebuilt by OC Transpo staff in the coming days.
Babe said the investigation will eventually be turned over to Ottawa police who will likely call for potential witnesses.
