The army is dropping into the Canadian Tire Centre Monday night — literally.
The soldiers will be rappelling from a CH-146 Griffon helicopter as the Ottawa Senators film a promotional video in preparation for the team’s upcoming Canadian Armed Forces Night. The aerial exercise will take place between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Ottawa Fire Services sent out a public service announcement Monday afternoon to alert people who might see “unusual activity” at the arena.
The Sens will do their annual tribute to Canada’s military at a game against the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday, Nov. 2.
