Fire doused, no injuries in Vanier apartment building

Fire crews doused a blaze in a Vanier apartment building Friday morning.

They were called to 650 Rue de l’église off Montreal Road at about 11:30 a.m., confirmed on arrival that there was a working fire billowing black smoke and had the flames under control at 11:53 a.m.

Crews were still on scene clearing smoke and making sure the fire hadn’t spread to other parts of the three-story building west of St. Laurent Blvd.

Occupants were able to get out safely with no injuries reported.
