Some roads, pathways and trails in Gatineau Park have been closed or affected by recent heavy rainfall, the National Capital Commission is warning.
Users of the park are being urged to check the visitor centre for conditions and route suggestions, and the NCC is asking visitors to exercise caution and to respect work crews, equipment and signs.
Among the roads and trails that are closed:
· Trails, #3, 9, 13, 37, 40, 50 and 54
· Sections of Trails #1, 52, 53 and 56
· Trail 50 from P16
· Trail 50 at Philippe Lake, near the campsite entrance
· Luskville Falls Trail
As well, Meech Lake Road and the access road to Lac Philippe are open only to local traffic.
The Voyageur Pathway from Rivermead Golf Club to the Champlain Bridge has also been affected by the rainfall.
