Stephen Leacock Elementary School is closed Thursday because of a plumbing problem that began during heavy rain earlier this week.
The school was also closed Monday with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board noting then, as Thursday, that “without operating toilets, the school cannot remain open.”
Students and staff are safe at school, the board said in an 8 a.m. alert but parents are asked to pick up their kids as soon as possible. Staff will remain on site until all children have been picked up.
Parents who need to make specific arrangements for their children can call the school at 613-592-2261.
