It seemed like a routine traffic stop just after midnight when a Gatineau police officer pulled over a car on Boulevard des Allumettières near St. Raymond. That’s when the excitement began.
As the officer was stopped with her cruiser lights flashing, another car plowed into her cruiser from behind.
No one was hurt.
Police at the station didn’t know how fast the car that hit the cruiser was travelling, but said the police car was totalled in the crash.
A 64-year-old Ottawa woman has been charged with impaired driving.
