Hello, sun!

Ottawa awoke to a nippy morning – it was -5 C at 6 a.m. – but Environment Canada’s forecast is for a few days of welcome sunshine and dry skies after record rains to start November.

The bad news is that it will be downright frigid by the end of the week.

Tuesday is a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 4 C and low of -5 C.

Wednesday’s forecast is for a mix of sun and cloud, a high of 6 C and a low of -3 C.

Oooh I see blue skies and sunshine this morning! Happy Tuesday

For Friday, the forecast is for a mix of sun and cloud, a high of -8 C and a low of -12 C.

Saturday is expected to be sunny with a high of -4 C and an overnight low of -8 C with a 30 per chance of rain or flurries.

Sunday is cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of flurries or rain day and night with a high of 2 C and low of -1 C.

For Monday, expect a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 3 C.

So-called “normals” for this time of year are highs of 7 C and lows of -1 C.
