Ottawa paramedics say a man was stabbed near Raphael Brunet Park shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday.
A 37-year-old male suffered “significant blood loss,” was treated at the scene and taken to the trauma centre where he was reported to be in serious condition.
The man was found at the corner of Cumberland Street and Guiges Avenue, near Raphael Brunet Park. The park is the location of Overdose Prevention Ottawa’s safe injection site.
“It’s not related to us, but it was in the area,” said OPO’s James Hutt.
Following the stabbing police cordoned off part of St. Patrick Street.
