Taking umbrage at being carded, man robs gas station of cigarettes

Police are hunting for a man, with a woman in tow, who threatened a clerk at a Montreal Road gas bar then robbed the place of cigarettes.

Police say it was on Nov. 4 at about 7 a.m. when the man and woman went into the gas station near the Vanier Parkway and asked for cigarettes. When asked for ID, the man became “agitated and verbally aggressive” then walked behind the counter and grabbed smokes. The clerk was threatened when he tried to intervene but unhurt.

The pair then fled the scene.

The man is described as being about 30 years old with short black hair and about six feet tall with a slim build.

The woman is described as about 30 with a medium build.
