One local traffic officer dishes out plenty of humour and animal gifs with the tickets and typically-dry road safety messages.

Const. Phil Kane, who tweets as @carbinekane was busy wielding his radar gun on Ottawa roads Monday.

First, he tweeted about a motorist nabbed going 128 km/h in an 80 zone on the “Limebank Raceway” then a second vehicle was clocked at 130 km/h.

Finally, there was a 19-year-old going 177 km/h in an 80 zone on Franktown Road, netting a seven-day impound for the car and license suspension for the driver and a court date. Upon conviction, add on a six- month license suspension, a fine of $1,000 to $10,000 and a “massive” insurance hike, Kane noted.
