OPP officers patrolling Highway 401 near Mallorytown spotted a westbound vehicle traveling at 92 km/h over the 100 km/h speed limit early on the morning of Nov. 10.
But when they pulled the Ottawa motorist over at about 4 a.m. in Front of Yonge Township, “investigation revealed that the driver was suspended and impaired by alcohol,” Leeds County OPP reports.
Denis Lapensée, 30, is to appear in court in Brockville Dec. 15 facing charges of impaired driving, driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in one hundred millilitres of blood and dangerous driving.
He’s also facing charges of stunt driving and driving while suspended under the Highway Traffic Act.
