Ottawa police are investigating the discovery of a body that was pulled Tuesday from the Rideau River near where it meets the Ottawa River.
Fire and police crews responded to Sussex Drive and Stanley Avenue around 4 p.m. after bystanders reported seeing a person in the Rideau River, near the Union Bridge.
The body was pulled out soon after emergency crews arrived.
The Ottawa police’s marine, dive and trails unit is now investigating. They’re asking people to avoid the 40 block of Sussex Drive.
